China’s Juncao Technology Empowers Farmers in Fiji and Beyond

In a remarkable display of South-South cooperation, China's innovative Juncao technology is transforming lives in Fiji and over 100 other countries. This breakthrough allows farmers to cultivate mushrooms using grasses instead of traditional woods, providing a stable and sustainable income source.

Seruwaia Kabukabu, an entrepreneur in Serea village of Fiji's Naitasiri Province, shares her success story: \"I have used the money earned from growing Juncao to buy a refrigerator, blender, straw mats, etc. I also have built a new toilet and bathroom for our family.\" After undergoing training at the Juncao demonstration center, Kabukabu not only improved her own livelihood but also inspired her fellow villagers to adopt this innovative farming method.

China's approach emphasizes empowering communities with the tools and knowledge they need to sustain themselves. As Kabukabu aptly puts it, \"If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.\" Instead of direct financial aid, China is sharing its technology, enabling nations to develop independently.

To date, China has organized 270 Juncao training programs, reaching over 10,000 individuals across diverse linguistic backgrounds. This initiative highlights the effectiveness of China's diplomatic efforts in fostering economic development and strengthening global ties.
