Chinese modernization is transforming into a global opportunity, emphasizing inclusiveness and sustainable growth. Unlike Western models, China’s approach involves the active participation of its vast population, ensuring that the benefits of modernization are widely shared.
At the heart of this development is the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which has fostered interconnections among numerous regions, bringing tangible benefits to countries worldwide. For instance, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a key BRI project, addressed severe energy shortages in Pakistan by rapidly developing the energy sector. Within three years, power outages in major cities were eliminated, significantly improving living standards and boosting industrial growth.
Zafar Uddin Mahmood, former special envoy for the CPEC at the Understanding China Conference, highlighted that Chinese modernization is centered on peaceful development. By promoting high-standard openness and deeper integration into global industries, China is not only strengthening its own economy but also creating avenues for other nations to prosper alongside it.
