The second Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) kicked off in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province in eastern the Chinese mainland, on November 23, 2023. Spanning an impressive 100,000 square meters, the expo features one comprehensive pavilion, two special pavilions, and four digital industry pavilions.
Among the distinguished guests was former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, now president of the Shanghai-headquartered New Development Bank (NDB). Rousseff attended the opening ceremony and toured the expo, visiting booths of major Chinese tech giants Alibaba and iFlytek.
\"This fair signifies a moment of openness for this immense economy โ the Chinese mainlandโs economy โ showcasing all its power and vigor. It clearly reflects China's potential to emerge as the world's leading economy by 2030,\" Rousseff said in an interview with CGTN.
