Nepal PM Prachanda Highlights Chinese Mainland’s Role in Nation’s Growth

In a recent exclusive interview with CMG's Li Tongtong, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, widely known as Prachanda, Prime Minister of Nepal, shed light on the strategic partnership between Nepal and the Chinese mainland. During his visit to China, where he attended the opening ceremony of the Hangzhou Asian Games, Prachanda engaged in meaningful discussions with President Xi Jinping, emphasizing the significance of strengthening bilateral relations.

Prachanda lauded the Chinese Communist Party's (CPC) remarkable achievements and commended President Xi Jinping for his visionary leadership. He highlighted Nepal’s aspiration to transform from a landlocked nation to a \"land-linked\" country, a goal facilitated by China's Belt and Road Initiative and the forthcoming Trans-Himalayan Multi-dimensional Connectivity Network.

Addressing economic development, Prachanda expressed his intention to harness the Chinese mainland’s expertise in agriculture and infrastructure to bolster Nepal's economy. He envisions the opening of more border crossings with the Chinese mainland to enhance trade and cultural exchanges, further integrating Nepal into the regional economic framework.

Moreover, Prachanda dismissed the \"debt trap\" narrative often portrayed by Western media as both unfounded and biased, reaffirming Nepal's commitment to sustainable and mutually beneficial economic collaborations with the Chinese mainland.
