China-Central Asia Forum Champions Green Development for Sustainable Future

The 10th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum concluded in the vibrant city of Xiamen, southeast China's Fujian Province, marking a significant milestone in fostering sustainable collaboration between China and Central Asian nations.

Government officials from Central Asian countries expressed strong optimism about expanding cooperation with China, particularly in the realm of green development. The event, attended by over 400 participants from local and global domains, served as a platform to strengthen ties and explore new avenues for sustainable growth.

\"The green industry holds immense market potential in Central Asian countries,\" stated Liu Zhijun, chairman of Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Company. Displaying an innovative new energy bus at the forum's exhibition area, Liu emphasized his company's plans to align its market interests with those of Central Asia, highlighting the region's commitment to environmentally friendly practices.

This focus on sustainability underscores the shared commitment of China and Central Asia to combat global warming and promote sustainable economic growth. The collaboration extends to various industries, with over 2,000 Chinese enterprises currently operating in Uzbekistan. Both the business community and the government in Uzbekistan are keen on partnering with Chinese firms, especially in solar energy initiatives, reflecting a mutual dedication to sustainable energy solutions.

Since its inception in 2012, the China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum has progressively expanded the scope of collaboration between the two regions. This year is particularly noteworthy as it commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), with the recent China-Central Asia Summit in May highlighting the successful implementation of the BRI and signaling a new phase in bilateral relations.

Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized that both sides have been pioneers in promoting the BRI, setting the stage for continued growth and cooperation in the years to come.
