Over 60,000 people have been displaced due to severe flooding in Malaysia's north and east coast regions, as of Thursday evening. The flooding has impacted several states, with Kelantan being the hardest hit.
According to the country's social welfare department, Kelantan alone has 49,048 individuals seeking refuge in 207 flood relief centers. Other affected states include Terengganu, Kedah, Perlis, and Perak.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued warnings of continued heavy rainfall expected to persist until the end of November, raising concerns over the potential for further displacement and damage.
