As the migratory season kicks off in China, the provinces of Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Guangdong, and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have come together to launch a collaborative campaign aimed at protecting the routes of migratory birds.
This joint initiative was officially unveiled on Friday in Lanshan County of Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. The campaign focuses on safeguarding these birds and promoting sustainable development across the region.
China is home to nearly 1,500 species of birds, with more than half being migratory. Notably, four of the world's nine major migratory bird routes traverse the country, highlighting China's critical role in global bird conservation efforts.
