Sydney Kicks Off Groundbreaking Nature Positive Summit to Drive Global Environmental Action

The world's first nature positive summit officially opened in Sydney on Tuesday, marking a significant step towards addressing global biodiversity loss and ecosystem collapse.

The three-day event, co-hosted by the Australian federal government and the state government of New South Wales, brought together leaders from governments, businesses, academia, environmental groups, and Indigenous communities. Attendees are focused on driving investment in nature and enhancing efforts to protect and repair the environment.

Australian Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek, who co-initiated the summit, delivered a powerful keynote speech on Tuesday morning. "This summit aims to accelerate collective action to drive investment in nature and strengthen activities to protect and repair our environment," she stated.
