California Wildfires Burn Over 1 Million Acres Amid Rising Temperatures

California's wildfires have already consumed over 1 million acres this year, as soaring temperatures exacerbate the challenges faced by firefighters. The Line Fire, which ignited over a month ago, continues to rage in the San Bernardino Mountains northeast of Los Angeles.

Spiking temperatures this Tuesday have intensified the blaze, making containment efforts increasingly difficult. The fire has spread across nearly 68 square miles (176 square kilometers), prompting expanded evacuation orders on Monday for remote communities in the affected region.

Initially, containment of the Line Fire stood at 83 percent, but recent developments have seen it drop to 76 percent, reflecting the stubborn nature of the blaze and the persistent threat it poses to surrounding areas.
