Typhoon Yagi and the resulting landslides and floods have claimed the lives of 226 people and left 104 individuals missing in Vietnam as of Thursday afternoon, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The northern province of Lao Cai has borne the brunt of the disaster, suffering the highest number of casualties with 98 deaths and 81 people still missing, the ministry reported.
