The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has reported that heavy rains and flooding have been devastating Sudan's South Darfur, Red Sea, River Nile, and Northern states since late June. Approximately half a million people in these regions are suffering from the impacts of these natural disasters, according to Stephane Dujarric, the chief spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
