In the wake of Typhoon Gaemi, Zixing City in central China's Hunan Province has made significant strides in restoring essential services. Authorities announced that electricity and telecommunications have been successfully resumed in 183 administrative villages, ensuring that residents are reconnected and able to communicate effectively.
Despite these advancements, relief efforts remain ongoing. Road access is being restored to 19 villages, power supply to an additional 24, and telecommunications services to 31 more, as teams work tirelessly to ensure full recovery across the region.
The response to the typhoon has been robust, with a total of 300 metric tonnes of relief supplies delivered to Zixing. Emergency services have evacuated 695 individuals, and 515 people have received necessary medical treatment since the disaster struck.
As Zixing City continues its path to recovery, the resilience and cooperation of its residents and authorities highlight the community's strength in the face of natural disasters.
