China Issues Second-Highest Rainstorm Warning Amid Heavy Rains

China's national observatory on Monday issued an orange alert for rainstorms, the second-highest level in its four-tier warning system, across several regions of the country.

Heavy rainfall is expected in areas including Beijing, Hebei, Tianjin, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Hubei, and Hunan on Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Meteorological Center forecast.

Some regions may experience up to 280 millimeters of rain within a 24-hour period.

The observatory has advised local authorities to implement emergency response measures and remain vigilant for natural disasters such as flash floods and mudslides.
