China's meteorological authority has extended yellow alerts for both rainstorms and high temperatures on Sunday, signaling potential severe weather conditions across several regions.
From 2 p.m. Sunday to 2 p.m. Monday, areas including Shaanxi, Sichuan, Hubei, Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Inner Mongolia are expected to experience torrential rains. The National Meteorological Center warns of short-term heavy rainfall exceeding 80 millimeters per hour, along with thunderstorms and strong gales.
Authorities have advised local governments to take necessary precautions, such as inspecting and maintaining drainage systems in cities, farmlands, and fishponds to mitigate the impact of the severe weather.
