The Chinese authorities have announced the allocation of 496 million yuan (approximately $69.59 million) from the natural disaster relief fund to bolster flood control initiatives across the country.
This substantial funding is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Ministry of Emergency Management. Earlier, these departments had already advanced 346 million yuan to support ongoing flood mitigation measures.
The increased financial commitment highlights the government’s proactive approach in addressing the challenges posed by severe flooding, ensuring timely and effective response to affected regions.
