The Chinese mainland is grappling with severe weather conditions as persistent heavy downpours have led to overwhelming floods across various regions. According to the Ministry of Water Resources, 33 rivers nationwide have exceeded warning levels as of Monday.
In provinces such as Jiangxi, Hubei, Anhui, Zhejiang, and Guizhou, 22 rivers have reported floods surpassing alert marks, posing significant challenges to local communities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, Heilongjiang Province in northeast China has seen 11 rivers experience above warning-line floods, further intensifying the crisis.
The government has intensified its disaster control efforts to mitigate the impact of the floods, deploying emergency services and coordinating with regional authorities to ensure the safety of residents and the protection of vital assets.
