China's national observatory has renewed a blue alert for rainstorms on Sunday, signaling the expectation of heavy rainfall across the country’s southern, southwestern, and eastern regions.
China employs a four-tier color-coded weather warning system, where red represents the most severe alert, followed by orange, yellow, and blue.
According to the National Meteorological Center (NMC), downpours are anticipated to impact parts of Guizhou, Guangdong, the Taiwan region, and Guangxi on Sunday and the following Monday.
In Guangxi and the Taiwan region, some areas may receive up to 130 millimeters of rainfall, while certain locations within these regions could experience over 60 millimeters of hourly precipitation, as forecasted by the NMC.
