As the Labor Day holiday approaches from May 1 to 5, residents and travelers in southern China can prepare for increased rainfall, according to the National Climate Center.
Jia Xiaolong, deputy director of the center, announced during a press conference that accumulated precipitation in southern China and the southwestern province of Guizhou is expected to range between 20 to 60 mm. This significant rainfall could impact travel plans and outdoor activities, so locals and visitors are advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions.
While the rains may bring temporary inconveniences, they also play a crucial role in replenishing water resources and supporting the regionโs lush landscapes. Tourists exploring the picturesque regions of southern China might still find plenty to enjoy, rain or shine.
