Severe Flooding Devastates Kurgan Region in Russia

Recent heavy rains have led to rapid water level rises in rivers across Russia's Ural and southwestern Siberian regions, particularly impacting the Kurgan region near the Tobol River. Authorities from Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that over 300 houses and nearly 700 residential plots have been submerged by floodwaters.

The flooding has caused widespread power outages and forced urgent evacuations of residents to ensure their safety. Emergency services are working tirelessly to provide relief and support to the affected communities, while efforts continue to manage the rising water levels and prevent further damage.

Residents are advised to stay informed through official channels and adhere to evacuation orders to minimize risks. The situation remains critical as weather forecasts predict continued rainfall, posing ongoing challenges for disaster response teams in the region.
