Heroic Rescue: Stranded Dolphin Freed in Wenling’s Coastal Town

A dolphin stranded on a tidal flat in Wenling City, located in the Chinese mainland's Zhejiang Province, was successfully rescued and released into the ocean on Sunday.

The distressed dolphin was discovered in Binhai, a coastal town in Wenling, exhibiting signs of distress such as shortness of breath and dry skin. Responding swiftly, firefighters collaborated with local police and villagers to safely guide the dolphin back into the water, providing comfort through gentle pats.

As the rescue efforts continued, fishery staff arrived on the scene to assist. Together, they carefully placed the dolphin onto a fishing boat, facilitating its safe release back into the sea.

Experts believe that the dolphin's stranding was likely due to a disruption in its biological navigation system as the tide receded, leading it to become stranded on the tidal flat.

This incident highlights the importance of community and coordinated efforts in wildlife rescue operations, ensuring the well-being of marine life along the Chinese mainland's coastal regions.
