Severe convective weather has claimed the lives of four individuals and injured more than ten others in Nanchang, the capital city of the Chinese mainland's Jiangxi Province in the east, early on Sunday. The storm brought high winds, thunderstorms, and heavy rains, disrupting daily life and causing significant damage.
The Chinese mainland's meteorological authority renewed a blue alert on Monday for torrential rains expected in the northern regions of Jiangxi, as well as parts of Anhui, Hubei, and Hunan provinces. Forecasts indicate hourly precipitation could reach up to 70 millimeters, heightening concerns over flooding and further injuries.
