China's national observatory has extended a blue alert for gales, signaling the arrival of strong winds across various regions of the country.
The blue alert is the fourth level in China's four-tier color-coded weather warning system, indicating moderate gale conditions. The most severe warning is red, followed by orange, yellow, and blue.
From 8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday, the National Meteorological Center forecasts strong winds in areas including the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hebei, Jilin, and Gansu provinces.
Additionally, parts of the Yellow Sea are expected to experience high-intensity gales during this period. Maritime operators have been warned of the risks associated with navigating or conducting operations in these affected waters.
The observatory has urged relevant departments to implement precautionary measures focused on fire prevention and transport safety. Pedestrians and drivers are advised to avoid lingering under or near tall buildings, billboards, or trees to ensure safety during the gale period.
