China Issues Yellow Alert as Thick Fog Shrouds Multiple Regions

The Chinese National Observatory has renewed a yellow alert for thick fog affecting several areas on Tuesday morning. Provinces including Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Chongqing Municipality are expected to experience dense fog conditions.

Visibility in some regions may drop below 200 meters, posing challenges for daily commutes and transportation. The National Meteorological Center advises motorists to reduce their speed and exercise caution on the roads.

Additionally, airports, expressways, and ferry terminals are urged to implement precautionary measures to ensure safe travel. China employs a three-tier color-coded warning system for thick fog, with yellow being the intermediate level, followed by orange and the most severe red alert.

Residents and travelers in the affected areas are encouraged to stay updated with local weather reports and adhere to safety guidelines to navigate through the foggy conditions safely.
