In a heartwarming reunion, a panda family of five has returned to China from Spain's Madrid Zoo Aquarium. The beloved couple, Bing Xing and Hua Zui Ba, along with their three Madrid-born cubs—Chulina, You You, and Jiu Jiu—are set to settle in the renowned Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
Bing Xing and Hua Zui Ba made the journey to Madrid in 2007 from Sichuan and have since expanded their family with six cubs. Their commitment to conservation and international collaboration has seen their three older cubs, born in 2010 and 2013, already return to their native habitat in China.
The latest additions, Chulina born in 2016, and the twins You You and Jiu Jiu born in 2021, were raised in Madrid. Their return marks another step in ongoing efforts to support giant panda populations through global partnerships. The Chengdu Research Base is thrilled to welcome them, ensuring they continue to thrive in their natural environment.
This move not only strengthens ties between international zoos but also underscores the global importance of panda conservation. Young global citizens and animal enthusiasts alike celebrate this joyful homecoming, highlighting the successful blend of international cooperation and dedicated conservation efforts.
