Yunnan’s Winter Study Camps Surge in Popularity for Spring Festival Families

This Spring Festival, the southwestern province of Yunnan is emerging as a top destination for parents and their children seeking enriching winter activities. Known for its breathtaking natural landscapes, rich biodiversity, and diverse ethnic groups, Yunnan offers a unique blend of education and adventure.

Visitors to Yunnan can immerse themselves in the serene beauty of the Nujiang River Valley, home to some of China's rarest ethnic groups. In the tropical region of Xishuangbanna, families can explore vibrant flora and fauna, while the ancient towns of Dali showcase unique architecture and rich cultural traditions. Additionally, Pu'er City provides an insightful journey into the history and significance of tea in Chinese culture.

To cater to families with children of various ages, the Yunnan Travel Agency Association launched 10 themed routes in January, covering popular areas like Xishuangbanna, Kunming, and Dali. These routes are designed not only to broaden visitors' knowledge of geography and rare species but also to offer hands-on cultural experiences.

One standout option is the farming tour route in Dali, where parents and kids can engage in activities such as vegetable planting, scarecrow making, and net fishing. These interactive experiences allow families to learn and grow together, fostering a deeper appreciation for Yunnan's unique heritage.
