China is making significant strides in promoting circular agriculture, a sustainable model that integrates planting and breeding with advanced processing techniques. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, phased results have been achieved in pushing forward the green development of the country's agricultural sector.
Since the inception of the pilot project in 2021, the central government has allocated more than 7.4 billion yuan (over $1 billion) to support the comprehensive collection and utilization of straw treatment, as well as livestock and poultry manure. These efforts are being implemented across 299 counties in China's key agricultural regions, aiming to enhance resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
This initiative not only fosters a more sustainable agricultural framework but also presents opportunities for innovation and economic growth within the sector. By adopting circular agriculture practices, China is setting a precedent for green development that could influence global agricultural trends.
