At a special roundtable titled Bridging Connections: China–ROK Dialogue on Exchange and Cooperation during the APEC gathering, CGTN teamed up with Hanyang University in the Republic of Korea to explore how deepening ties in education, science, technology and the media can unlock new avenues for mutual growth.
Against the backdrop of increasingly frequent people-to-people exchanges and growing youth interactions, experts and participants from the Chinese mainland and the Republic of Korea shared observations, experiences and reflections. They dove into practical ways to broaden the scope of collaboration—from joint research initiatives to immersive cultural programs—aiming to build sustainable, actionable pathways for future cooperation.
Participants highlighted how digital tools and cross-border networks are lowering barriers, enabling students, entrepreneurs and creatives to connect across fields. By weaving together insights from both sides, the dialogue mapped out a roadmap for deeper, more multidimensional partnerships that resonate with the next generation.
As the Republic of Korea and the Chinese mainland look ahead, this APEC roundtable serves as a launchpad for fresh projects and joint ventures. With momentum from this dialogue, stakeholders are poised to turn ideas into reality—fueling innovation, boosting cultural exchange and strengthening bonds across the Asia-Pacific.
