Hamas has announced the release of six detainees as part of the seventh round of hostages and detainees swaps under the ongoing Gaza ceasefire agreement with Israel. According to a statement from Hamas official Hazem Qassem, this move aims to solidify the success of the first phase of the ceasefire and set the stage for the second phase. Qassem also highlighted that the release is in response to the mediation efforts of the involved parties.
