A devastating landslide hit Jinping Village in Junlian County, Sichuan Province, on Saturday, resulting in the tragic loss of one life and injuries to two others. The landslide, which occurred in the early hours, buried 10 residential homes and a production building, leaving 28 people unaccounted for.
Emergency responders have evacuated over 200 residents to safety, setting up a temporary shelter at a local school to support those displaced by the disaster. Rescue operations are actively underway, with teams working around the clock to find the missing and provide aid to the injured.
