In a heartwarming initiative, Jiangxi Province has successfully released 60 protected birds back into the wild at the renowned Poyang Lake area. This effort marks a significant step in wildlife conservation, ensuring that these magnificent creatures can thrive in their natural habitat.
The released birds represent 19 different species, including first-class nationally protected wildlife such as the white-naped crane, oriental stork, and black stork. Additionally, second-class protected species like the mandarin duck, swan goose, tundra swan, lesser swan, and white-fronted goose were also set free.
These birds were rescued or confiscated as part of comprehensive law enforcement efforts from various regions across China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Jiangxi, and Shenzhen. After receiving proper care and treatment, and meeting the stringent criteria for release, the birds were deemed ready to return to their natural environments.
The release at Poyang Lake not only aids in preserving these species but also highlights the ongoing commitment to wildlife protection and environmental sustainability in the region.
