Day 57: Gaza Conflict Intensifies as Ceasefire Expires

The truce deal between Israel and Hamas expired on December 1, marking Day 57 of the ongoing conflict. On that day, multiple areas in the Gaza Strip, including the Rafah refugee camp, were attacked. The local medical situation has become catastrophic, leaving only Al-Ahli Arab Hospital operational in the region.

The Israeli Prime Minister's office stated that due to Hamas violating the truce framework, Israel will work toward achieving its war goals — releasing all hostages, eliminating Hamas, and ensuring that Gaza can never again pose a threat to the people of Israel.

Despite the expiration of the truce, the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that negotiations between both sides are ongoing. International forces continue their efforts to restore a humanitarian ceasefire amidst the escalating violence.
