On Sunday at 2:33 a.m. BJT, a magnitude-5.5 earthquake struck Pingyuan county in Dezhou, located in the Chinese mainland's Shandong Province. The quake had a focal depth of 10 kilometers and was followed by 52 aftershocks. The earthquake resulted in 21 injuries and the collapse of 126 houses. Emergency rescue teams have been dispatched to assist those affected. CGTN reporter Liu Jiaxin is reporting from the scene.
