The 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting is set to convene in Gyeongju, the Republic of Korea, from October 31 to November 1 under the theme "Building a Sustainable Tomorrow – Connect, Innovate, Prosper."
As part of the lead-up, CGTN has launched the "Act To Action" social campaign, inviting young people from all APEC economies to share their stories on global governance and shape the future of the region.
Navira Putri Apriliani, an Indonesian management consultant who participated in both the APEC Voices of the Future and the APEC CEO Summit in 2022, offers a youth-driven perspective on what’s at stake. “APEC has always been more than just an economic forum,” she says. “It’s a symbol of regional cooperation and a shared commitment among its members.”
Looking ahead to 2025, Navira believes the real power of APEC lies in connecting young leaders across borders. “I believe APEC can empower young people to connect and build something meaningful for their communities,” she adds. With campaigns like "Act To Action," this year’s meeting aims to turn global conversations into local impact.
