Australian doctor Nada Abu Alrub posted a video on social media on September 19, describing the "nightmarish" situation at Gaza's al-Aqsa and al-Shifa hospitals since her arrival in the Gaza Strip.
CGTN's stringer in Gaza interviewed Dr Abu Alrub and residents to understand current living conditions and reactions to the official recognition of the State of Palestine by countries such as the United Kingdom and Canada.
Dr Abu Alrub said, "The tragic situation and massacre suffered by people in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern region, cannot be described in words." Her account highlights the urgent humanitarian toll on hospitals stretched beyond capacity.
Local resident Mahmoud Al-Daks expressed gratitude to all countries recognizing the State of Palestine. "What we need is concrete action. The greatest wish of people now is to stop the war," he said, echoing calls for global solidarity and a swift end to hostilities.
