The 2024 Beijing Forum on Swift Response to Public Complaints took place at the China National Convention Center on December 18 and 19. This year's theme, \"Modernizing for People-Centered Urban Governance,\" built on the forum's permanent theme, \"People's City, Better Future.\"
The event brought together global experts to discuss the path towards modernized urban governance, emphasizing the importance of putting people at the heart of city development.
Mahya, an Iranian student studying in Beijing, shared her positive experiences living in China. \"The most valuable thing about China is the people. From teachers at school to strangers on the street, everyone has a warm and friendly attitude,\" she said.
Mahya also commended China's efforts in combating air pollution. Upon her arrival in Beijing, smog was a significant issue, but thanks to eco-friendly, people-centered policies, blue skies have become the norm. \"It's inspiring to see such commitment to improving the environment for everyone,\" she added.
The forum highlighted successful initiatives like these, showcasing China's dedication to creating sustainable and livable cities for the future.
