Macao Celebrates 25 Years as a Hub for Global Students

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland, a milestone that highlights the region's remarkable economic diversification and cultural inclusivity. Over the past quarter-century, Macao Special Administrative Region has expanded its economic horizons, enhancing its strength and global appeal.

Highlighting Macao's allure, CGTN interviewed Meury Ferreira, an Angolan master's student in global public health at the University of Macau. Ferreira shared her experiences, stating, \"As a foreigner, I find the educational environment in Macao to be very diverse. It is a very foreigner-friendly city.\" Her positive outlook underscores Macao's commitment to fostering an inclusive and internationally welcoming atmosphere.

Ferreira also emphasized the role of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) in creating opportunities for Macao. \"The construction of the Greater Bay Area allows Macao the opportunity to invest in innovative technologies. I am considering working in Macao or the GBA in the future,\" she explained. The integration with the GBA not only boosts Macao's economic prospects but also aligns with the career aspirations of international students like Ferreira.
