Peruvian Student Bridges Cultural Gap Between Peru and China

Meet Anna Paula Peralta Reyes, a passionate Peruvian youth dedicated to strengthening the ties between Peru and China. Currently a communication student at the University of Lima, Anna's journey began at a Chinese school in Peru where she spent 11 years immersed in Chinese language and culture.

Her quest for deeper understanding led her to Jilin University in China, where she further expanded her cultural horizons. During her time in China, Anna not only delved into the rich Chinese traditions but also built meaningful friendships with local residents. She engaged in teaching Spanish to Chinese children through music, fostering bilingualism and cultural appreciation from a young age.

Anna's experiences extended beyond the classroom as she explored Chinese cuisine and traveled with local families, embracing the warmth and hospitality of Chinese households. These interactions have fueled her desire to act as a cultural ambassador between the two nations.

With the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in Lima, Peru, Anna hopes to see a focus on cooperation among countries with varying levels of development. She envisions creating economic growth opportunities for underdeveloped regions through collaborative treaties and initiatives, contributing to the sustainable development of all APEC members.

Looking ahead, Anna aims to leverage her communication expertise to promote and enhance cultural exchanges between China and Peru. Her goal is to serve as a vital bridge, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation between the peoples of both nations.
