Mexican Student’s Journey: Studying Chinese Law to Empower Women’s Rights

Mexican youth Moraima Ordoñez is pursuing a master's degree in Chinese law at Peking University. Her fascination with Chinese society and culture began in her teenage years.

During her undergraduate studies, Moraima researched laws protecting women's rights in both Mexico and China. Finding limited resources available in Spanish, she moved to China to gain deeper insights.

Moraima has actively engaged in various China-Mexico friendship projects, enhancing her understanding of Chinese modernization and recognizing cultural similarities between the two nations. She is hopeful that the upcoming APEC meeting in Peru will prioritize discussions on women's rights and interests.
