The 16th BRICS Summit, held in Kazan, Russia from October 22 to 24, has sparked optimism among South Africans about the future of their country's involvement in the BRICS family.

Nokukhanya Khanyi Zulu, a local South African, highlighted the positive impact of the BRICS cooperation mechanism, stating, \"South Africa has had many benefits from the BRICS mechanism,\" and emphasizing the growing popularity of South African products like wine and rooibos tea in international markets.

The summit has not only boosted trade but has also opened doors for cultural and educational exchanges. Clea Schultz Mofokeng pointed out that Confucius Institutes offer valuable opportunities for South Africans to learn Chinese and pursue studies in China, fostering deeper cultural ties.
