On October 14, an Israeli air strike struck the tents of displaced persons near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza's Deir al-Balah.
The attack resulted in the tragic deaths of at least four Palestinians and left approximately 70 others injured, according to the Palestinian official news agency WAFA, citing medical sources.
Amani Madi, a mother whose child was injured in the air strike, described the devastation: \\"Everything in my home was burned, and a missile fragment penetrated my child's body.\\"
The head of the emergency department at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital spoke to CGTN Stringer, revealing that most of the injured patients suffered burns and urgently need more medical care. However, the hospital is facing a severe shortage of disposable materials and medical equipment.
Authorities are hopeful that the Rafah border crossing will reopen soon, allowing international organizations to deliver essential medical aid to the affected area.
