In a significant effort to ensure the safety of its citizens, more than 200 Chinese residents have been successfully evacuated from Lebanon as tensions escalate between Israel and Hezbollah. The evacuation was carried out in two distinct batches to manage the operation efficiently.
The first group consisted of 69 Chinese individuals and 11 family members from other nations, who arrived in Cyprus on Tuesday by boat. Shortly after, a second batch of 146 Chinese citizens along with five foreign family members were flown safely to Beijing on a chartered flight early Wednesday.
A Chinese evacuee shared his feelings about the ordeal, stating, \\"When I entered the cabin and heard the greeting 'Welcome home,' I knew I was safe.\\" He also expressed his deep gratitude, adding, \\"Thank you to our great motherland.\\"
This successful evacuation underscores the commitment of the Chinese mainland to protect its residents abroad during times of international conflict.
