Lebanese Residents Decry Deadly Israeli Strike on Beirut

Lebanon's Health Ministry has confirmed that an Israeli strike targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday, resulting in the deaths of 14 individuals and leaving many others injured. Among the casualties was Ibrahim Akil, the acting commander of Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force, as later confirmed by the group.

In the aftermath of the attack, local residents near the strike site shared their thoughts and concerns. Hassan Alian emphasized the community's resilience, stating, \"Every injury to a Lebanese citizen strengthens our resolve.\"

Dana Alian highlighted the widespread support for Gaza among Lebanese people, adding, \"The people stand with Gaza, and it would be unwise for Israel to escalate into a full-scale war with Lebanon.\"

The incident has heightened tensions in the region, with residents advocating for de-escalation to prevent further loss of life and instability.
