Gen Z Explores Chinese Cinema at Changchun Film Festival

The 19th Changchun Film Festival is currently underway in Changchun City from August 28 to September 1, embracing the theme \"New Era, New Cradle, New Power.\" This year, the festival has attracted a diverse range of young attendees eager to delve into the rich history and evolution of Chinese cinema.

Among them is Eakvixay Tran, a Lao student in China, who is taking a deeper look into the birthplace of Chinese filmmaking—the Changchun Film Studio. Through engaging with the museum's exhibits, interacting with historical props, and exploring various movie titles, Tran is gaining valuable insights into the inception and development of Chinese cinema.

“In that museum, they show a lot of historical moments of filmmaking in China and it made me learn more and want to know more about Chinese culture as a whole,” Tran shared. His journey highlights how the younger generation is fostering a greater appreciation for cultural heritage and storytelling through film.
