The upcoming 24th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Council is set to take place on July 3 and 4 in Astana, Kazakhstan. As India plays a pivotal role in the SCO, expectations are high among the Indian populace regarding the outcomes of this significant event.

In Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, local resident Josekutty emphasized the importance of India's connection with Central Asian countries through the SCO. \"It would be very useful for India to connect to the Central Asian countries through the SCO,\" he stated, highlighting the potential for strengthened regional ties.

University of Kerala student Amina shared a positive outlook on the summit's potential impact. She believes that the SCO can significantly boost connectivity in terms of economy, trade, and culture among its member nations. \"The SCO can boost the connectivity of economy, trade and culture among the members, providing opportunities and creating a greater market for them,\" Amina explained.
