Thousands of Yemenis flooded the streets of Sanaa in a powerful display of dissent against recent U.S. and Israeli military actions. The massive protests unfolded just hours after U.S. and British warplanes conducted a series of six airstrikes targeting the Houthi-held city, resulting in significant damage to various structures.
According to Al-Masirah TV, the airstrikes struck multiple locations including the mountain of al-Nahdayn in central Sanaa, near the Sanaa airport in the northern district, and the Jarban area in Sanhan district to the south. Additionally, the coalition forces carried out several airstrikes on the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, which is also under Houthi control.
A reporter from CGTN was present at the protests and spoke with demonstrators. One passionate protester declared, \"We will never accept any form of American hegemonic intervention in Yemen,\" highlighting the deep-seated resentment towards foreign military involvement in the region.
The demonstrations reflect the growing frustration among Yemenis with ongoing conflicts and foreign interventions, as well as their solidarity with the Palestinian people amidst regional tensions.
