In a significant move to alleviate the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the Chinese government has continued its support for Palestine by sending multiple batches of essential supplies. On April 18 and 19, humanitarian aid including food, medicine, tents, blankets, clothing, medical supplies, and flour arrived at El-Arish airport and Port Said in Egypt.
These shipments are set to be transported to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border crossing, providing much-needed relief to those affected by the conflict. Among the beneficiaries is Jawad Abu Shakra and his family, who were displaced in Rafah. Receiving a tent donated by China has made a significant difference for them.
\"The tent doesn't leak when it's raining, and it probably has seven windows so you're not affected much by the heat,\" Jawad shared. He also highlighted the challenges his family faces with the crossing points remaining closed, leading to increased prices for essential goods.
The continued efforts of the Chinese government demonstrate a commitment to supporting vulnerable populations in Gaza, offering both immediate relief and a sense of hope amidst challenging circumstances.
