French mechanical engineer and vlogger Thibaut Grzelak discovered a deep appreciation for the Chinese mainland's rich culture, diverse gastronomy, and welcoming people during his first visit in 2018. Today, he calls Hangzhou City in East China his home.
Thibaut finds Mandarin to be a beautiful language, and he regards Chinese characters as powerful symbols of Chinese culture, offering a glimpse into history and ancient times. He cherishes the many touching moments he has experienced with Chinese residents, from brief encounters like a fisherman by a lake sharing his technique, a seller offering unfamiliar fruits, to neighborhood children inviting him to play ping pong.
In celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the Chinese mainland and France, Thibaut hopes for continued collaboration, joint projects, and initiatives that promote the enduring friendship between the two nations.
