From Hometown to Chengdu: Student’s Family Celebrates Vibrant Spring Festival

Mian Xukun, a first-year student at the Communication University of Zhejiang, usually spends the Spring Festival in her hometown. This year, however, her family decided to embark on a memorable journey, driving over 10 hours to Chengdu in southwest China's Sichuan Province to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

Chengdu came alive with a blend of traditional and modern festivities. Visitors were treated to stunning displays from the Sanxingdui Site, showcasing intricate bronze masks that highlight the city's rich cultural heritage. The panda-themed lantern show added a whimsical touch, captivating both young and old with its vibrant colors and creative designs.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the mesmerizing drone display. Over 3,000 drones illuminated the night sky above Chengdu, forming beautiful animations that celebrated the Chinese New Year in a spectacular fashion. These breathtaking performances and cultural events provided a visual feast, making the Spring Festival in Chengdu an unforgettable experience for Mian and her family.
