Thousands Rally in Sanaa Against US-UK Airstrikes, Solidarity with Gaza

In a powerful display of unity, thousands of supporters of the Yemeni Houthi group gathered in Sanaa on Friday to protest recent US-UK joint airstrikes targeting the region. The demonstrations, held at Sabeen Square, highlighted the community's outrage over the retaliatory strikes in response to the group's attacks on Red Sea shipping lanes.

During the rally, CGTN Stringer spoke with several demonstrators, including Hamid Assem, a member of the national negotiating delegation. Assem emphasized the group's unwavering support for Gaza, stating, \"We will not stop supporting Gaza until the aggression is halted and the siege is lifted.\" His remarks underscored the deep-seated connections and shared struggles between the Yemeni protesters and their counterparts in Gaza.

The airstrikes have significantly impacted the region's stability, disrupting vital shipping routes and exacerbating existing tensions. The protests in Sanaa reflect a broader discontent with foreign interventions and a call for regional autonomy and peace.

As global citizens continue to navigate complex international dynamics, the events in Yemen serve as a poignant reminder of the interconnectedness of regional conflicts and their ripple effects on global stability.
