The 6th China International Import Expo, held from November 5 to 10 in Shanghai, witnessed an impressive showcase of global talent. Among the 154 countries, regions, and international organizations in attendance, Honduras stood out as a first-time participant, bringing a rich array of agricultural products to the Chinese market.
This inaugural participation by Honduras highlighted key exports such as coffee, cigars, wine, and seafood. Visitors flocked to Honduran booths, eager to experience the unique flavors and quality that the country has to offer. The Expo provided a vital platform for Honduras to strengthen its newly established diplomatic ties with China, formalized earlier this year in March.
The collaboration between Honduras and China is already bearing fruit, with Honduran exports to China experiencing a significant rise in April compared to the previous year. Interviews conducted by CGTN Stringer revealed a positive reception from both Honduran and Chinese consumers, indicating a promising future for bilateral trade in agricultural goods.
